~April~

April was a pretty low key month.

We didn't have the kids for Easter this year so we decorated sugar cookies at Grandma's with the cousins before hand.
We get serious about this cookie decorating business! 😜
The Easter Bunny still found the kids at our house though! 😊

Kam and I both really enjoy being out side together, hiking or what have you, so since I hadn't hiked down to Pillar Falls, we hiked down there one day.

It was quite the hike! Super steep all the way down and then you had to come back up! When we got down there the river was too high so we couldn't actually get out to the falls, so we'll have to go again, or kayak there! But it was an adventure! And it was fun! And the view is always amazing when your doing anything in the canyon!
We took the kids to ice cream one night and tried out the new creamery!
*Note to self for next time.. get the kiddy cup!! The small was HUGE!

Poor Kam he always misses out on things when he has to go to drill πŸ˜”. The last weekend in April while Kam was in Boise for drill we took the kids on a picnic with Grandma and Grandpa and Aunt Rachael and then went mini golfing.... which I usually do decent at, but BOTCHED it!! haha We had fun though! And that's all the matters!
Love this family!! πŸ’•
Pretty low key month!
See you in May!

The Rest of March

The rest of March brought a lot of fun and adventure!

Kameron worked his first day as a nurse

We "celebrated" St. Patrick's Day with green pancakes, green church clothes and a fun afternoon filled with bike rides and a picnic at the park

The funnest event of all though, and Kameron would attest, was his lasik surgery!
Poor guy kind of had a tramatic experience! They took him back the 1st time, yes there was more than 1! And his eye moved when the laser started to cut, releasing the suction so they had to stop. They brought him out and came and got me and he said I'm going to have to come back in a month, I was like whatever! And he was like no for real, my eye moved and I have to wait a month for the cut just made to heal! But luckily the Doc came and looked at it and the laser had just barely started cutting so he thought they could proceed. So they took him back for the 2nd time, gave him extra numbing drops and thankfully successfully lasered his eyes!

We stayed in Boise since he had a follow-up the next morning, and he was supposed to sleep when he got done so he wouldn't feel the pain of the next 6 hours, which they say is the worst! But he didn't 😬 so he was awake through the worst post op part! πŸ˜” But thankfully slept pretty good that night!

And we ended the month with a bang at the Children's Museum in Meridian for Spring Break!

March Birthdays!!

March, the best month of the yearπŸ˜‰, brings around Bentley's and my birthdays!!

I turned !26! this year!! I am getting so old! My birthday fell on Sunday, so Saturday night after I got off work we went to Pizza Pie Cafe' because I got a free buffet haha not my  first choice of dinner place but hey mine was free! Nothin' better than that! 😜

The next morning I got breakfast in bed, and the cake batter bowl and spatula in bed after Kam made a cake for me!πŸ’• Seriously the best part of my birthday! We wouldn't have had to do anything else and he wouldn't have had to get me anything else! That simple act of thoughtfulness and love was all I needed!πŸ’— That's MY kind of love language!! I told him no one had ever made (I’m all about homemade!) me a cake before besides my mom and it seriously meant the world to me! And it was so delicious!!

After church Kam had coordinated with his family and we went to his Mom's and Dad's for dinner, Tammy's homemade chicken alfredo! πŸ˜‹ My favorite!! So yummy! And then of course cake and ice cream! Thanks for the best birthday babe! 😘

Bentley's Birthday was on the 13th, so just a few days after mine, he turned 7!! After spending the whole day on our bikes, we took him out Monday night to ice cream! His choice... Arctic Circle! And celebrated that weekend!
We spent the afternoon at Grandma King's so she could help me make the Venom cake Bentley wanted! Oh that was after the St. Patrick's Day parade... πŸ‘Ž haha And then went to dinner with everyone that night to Red Robin (I also had a free burger there 😜) and then had cake and ice cream and presents!
Thank You for all your help Grandma King!! I couldn't have done it without you!!
He loved it!! It did turn out pretty awesome!!
It was a successful birthday weekend!!

Until next year March Birthdays😘

NCLEX go'round #2

(No pictures this post 😬)

I was really bad about taking pictures this last month, but we did a few fun things!

First fun thing was take the NCLEX 😜

We didn't do that though (thank goodness!! Been there done that!!), Kam did that... and freaking rocked it!! He was scheduled to take the NCLEX on Friday, Feb. 1st and of course of all nights to get sick, he got sick the night before! 😞 He hadn't felt awesome the few days leading up to it but the night before he had to test he was up with a fever, chills, body aches and a sore throat πŸ˜ͺ I felt so bad! And helpless πŸ˜ͺ All I could do was get him medicine, blankets, hot pads/rice bags exc. through out the night to try and make him as comfortable as possible so his fever would break and he could get some sleep for his test the next day! πŸ˜”

We drove to Boise the next morning and he did ok on the drive, I mean still didn't feel awesome, but felt better than the night before, until we stopped to eat right before his test, I could tell he was not feeling so hot again πŸ˜” He started to fever and get chills again, poor guy!

I dropped him off at the testing center after loading him up on medicine and just prayed that he would be able to feel well enough to make it through his test. That's all I could do was hope and pray! I knew he would do great because he had dedicated so much time to studying and knew his stuff! But I was just worried being sick would impede that πŸ˜” But it didn't! He rocked it! He called me about an hour later and was done in the least amount of questions possible!

We had to wait 2 days for results, but I wasn't worried! I already knew he had passed!

Congrats Kam!!

Kam got an interview later on in the month, the 12th, and got a job offer at the hospital on the 13th! He starts the beginning of March!

The second fun thing we did this month (besides V-Day *see previous post) was go the Bear Lake!

My niece Tilly was getting baptized so we went down to BL on the 16th, after going to Bentley's basketball game, for her baptism. After her baptism (which I didn't get any pictures of! 😬), we went to the high school to watch Briston play ball! (and again no pictures!πŸ˜”) It was the second game we got to go to and it was so much fun watching him play basketball! And after the game, we went to a birthday party for Colt! Big 18! It was a fun filled night!

We stayed the night at Jed and Tricia's, went to church with them, ate lunch and then hit the road back home.

It was the kids first time in BL, and they had a lot of fun playing with their new cousins! Bentley told Trish he wished we could move to BL because then he would have boy cousins again! Haha all his boy cousins moved to Alaska!

I'll try harder to take pictures in March!

See ya next month!

Love Day Year #1

Our first Valentines Day ya'll!! πŸ’—

We didn't have the kids on Valentines Day, so on Monday we made cupcakes and wrote Valentines to cousins!
😍😍
Don't mind our post workout look πŸ˜¬πŸ˜‚
Kams still cute though!!
This is mainly what Paige did πŸ˜‚

It was kind of funny, I always make sugar cookies for Valentines Day, but this year decided to do cupcakes instead, because for some really weird reason, I wasn't feeling sugar cookies (like to eat). Soooo we made cupcakes.... and every single time I like went to get one out of my little container thing I thought "man I sure wish these were sugar cookies!" haha Sugar cookies from now on!!!

I requested Valentines Day off this year, because Love Day Year #1!! And we made a day of it!

We started at the gym.... of course!
πŸ’–
Went to a matinee movie, The Upside-pretty dang good movie! Kam and I got a kick out of it! There's some funny nurse humor in there!
And then instead of going out to dinner, we decided to get Olive Garden to go... still waited in line forever to get our order, but it was still much faster than trying to dine in!
AND THEN! Kam insisted on watching a chick flick 😜 haha just kidding! He was nice enough to let me pick a chick flick to watch since it was V-Day πŸ’“ He's so freaking awesome!!

So we layed in bed and watched A Walk to Remember😘 and ate popcorn and chocolates and chocolate covered strawberries πŸ˜‹
Rach brought us a super cute and SUPER yummy bouquet of chocolate covered strawberries! πŸ˜‹
And Tammy and Dan brought me this cutest succulent and Kam some chocolates πŸ’—

What I found when I woke up 😘😘
V-Day was πŸ™Œ!!!
