In other January News....

Our honeymoon was almost the only fun, exciting thing that happened in January, beside the day I finished biochemistry!!! πŸ‘ Haha I was so excited to get finished with biochemistry because it took up a lot of time, and I hadn't done a chemistry course since high school! Not my favorite subject either 😬, and it was freaking hard! haha after passing two pre-assessments, which I was told were just like the final, I passing the final!! (which was NOT like the two pre-assessments! haha) And on to the next course... writing 3 10-15 page papers πŸ˜‘

Paige also had her birthday January 23rd and turned 4! I worked that day, but Kam was able to hang out with her and then Friday we went to Gerties and had a party!

My sweet little sisters and mom also sent her the cutest cookie package! With some money... she was so excited!!

HONEYMOON TIME!!!

So just kind of a fun fact, when we were "planning our wedding", we actually planed our honeymoon first! haha and then we were like well since we have that booked, we should probably plan an actual date to get married! 😜

Also, when we were booking our honeymoon, we were originally looking into the middle of December after Kam graduated and the flights to Florida were like $400-500! And in January they were like $200! So we decided to go in January instead.

So the night before we flew out we drove down to Salt Lake because our flight was at 5 in the morning! And we didn't really want to leave Twin at midnight to get there in time!

We had a layover in Denver and then flew into Miami at about 6 that night. Who in the heck booked that flight?! πŸ™‹πŸ™ˆ Just wait until I tell you the awesome flight back to SLC I booked!😜 haha but the layover in Denver wasn't too bad because we went to the USO and hung out there.

When we got into Miami we had a hotel booked that was right by the airport, spent the night and then uber'ed to the port the next morning, barely making it to the port! πŸ˜‰ haha our uber driver was a little cray cray, didn't really know where she was going and didn't speak very good English 😳 but we made it! haha

And got on the ship!
Miami Beach: Where We Would Be Spending The Last 2 Days Of Our Trip!
First ice cream cone of MANY of the trip! Unlike Carnival though-it's not 24/7 πŸ˜₯
It was my first time on a Royal Caribbean ship and I told Kameron as we pulled up, "I'm kind of having separation anxiety!" when I saw Carnival parked next to us! πŸ˜₯ haha

Our first stop was in the Bahamas, which was the second time for both of us so we decided that that was probably good πŸ‘ haha

We didn't book an excursion for the Bahamas so we just caught a ride to Atlantis and spent the day on Paradise Island. Aaaand trying to navigate through Atlantis! We got there so early that they were not really restricting anyone from getting into Atlantis, but once we got in and halfway through the day tried to walk around, we couldn't get like anywhere since we didn't purchase the Atlantis Excursion! haha Oh well, at least we got to play on the beach for a little bit!
πŸ’˜
😍
Not sure what these stairs were, but they were cool! And gave us good views!πŸ‘‡πŸ‘‡πŸ‘‡
πŸ’—
We went back to the ship early since we couldn't get anywhere in Atlantis, ate lunch and then went shopping-for a little bit haha. Neither Kam or I are big shoppers so we looked around for a little bit but then we were good πŸ‘ haha so we got back on the ship and played some mini golf! (I dominated! πŸ˜‰) But that's ok because Kam dominated me every time we played shuffle board!
I dominated.... but he's the cutest!!! 😍
😍
That night we dressed up for the formal dinner. (This is as formal as we get!😜)

The next day was a sea day, sailing from the Bahamas to Haiti! We spent the day in the B-E-A-utifal sun!! Rock climbing on the back of the ship, playing more mini golf, shuffle board, eating lots of food, and going to the performances and shows!
This is Bertha... Our mini golfing buddy πŸ˜‚
OH!! AND!! WE FOUND THE FRONT OF THE SHIP!!!πŸ‘†πŸ‘‡
We were on one of the decks one day and saw that some people were on the bow of the ship! And wanted to find how to get there! So we were looking on the ship maps to try and find out how to get there but couldn't, and then on our way to one of the shows we decided to go out a door we hadn't been out before for a minute (I can't remember if we were still trying to look for how to get to the front or not) and there was this secret hallway on the outside of the ship we went down.... and wahlaa!! We didn't notice the sign on the open gate leading down the little hallway thing until we were coming back that said helicopter crew only or something like that haha! On every ship I have been on I have ALWAYS wanted to find the front!! It was so fun to finally find it!! And you bet I Titanic'd that crap up! (more pictures to come) We didn't have very long this day because we had to go get seats for the show
We were trying to get a good picture of the wake... just doesn't do it justice!!
I was seriously so pleased with the weather on our trip! It was amazing!! All the other cruises I have been on we had ok weather, like 1 or 2 good days, but this trip was all amazing weather!! Not to hot-not to cold, it was around 75-low 80's the whole trip and the sun was πŸ™Œ! And for the shows we sat in the same seat every show we went to! haha The theater had double seats like love seats, so obviously those were our fave! We were also on the kiss cam for the first time ever! Twice! haha guess our kiss was so good they had to put the cam on us again 😜 Neither of us had ever been on a kiss cam so that was fun! Kam told me after the first time we were on there that if they showed us again he was going to stand us up and dip me haha but I thought it was highly unlikely they would show us again! But then pretty soon after that I looked up and there we were again! haha we were so caught off guard though that we just kissed normal πŸ˜‰

The next day was our stop in Labadee Haiti!
It was so pretty there! Labadee is a Royal Caribbean privately owned island so that was fun being the only ship there and having everything basically free and at our exposure. Except!! Big except!! haha the shopping was Horrendous! The people were Sooooo pushy! We went about halfway down the shopping street and turned around! So we didn't do any shopping there, which in all honesty we were both ok with... we just don't like shopping! haha
We had a lot of time to kill before our excursion so we hiked around and found several cool little stair cases that led up into the jungle and to some kind of old wall type things, and gave us some pretty scenery!
We love exploring!!

We booked our excursion in Labadee months in advance and were super excited to go on the highest zip line in the world! 500ft above sea level-we traveled up the bumpy road in an army truck type thing, got all suited up and superman'ed it down the zip line, over the ocean! We were super sad that we couldn't get any pictures of us up there before we went down, but obviously we didn't want to take anything up there with us! It was a lot of fun!
After we got done zip lining we ate lunch and then went to an awesome little cove we found called Columbus Cove! It was so pretty and the best beach there! (which we knew because before our zip lining adventure we hiked around and explored all the beaches!) Columbus cove was tucked away and hidden, and you either had to hike a trail or go through the horrendous shopping village to get there! haha so it wasn't crowded at all! And it had the clearest, cleanest water too! (And we know that because when we went to each beach we snorkeled, and Columbus Cove was πŸ™Œ! We enjoyed the day snorkeling and laying in the sun! And the fish there were so cute! There were tiny little fish that would just swim around your feet and nibble on your toes! They were so curious! Everywhere we went in Columbus Cove they would follow us! Haha I wish I could have gotten a picture but my phones not water proof 😜 The Bahamas had a group of fish that were swimming really close to us and stayed by us for awhile too... just hanging out! The fish there were pretty big though! The ones in Haiti were just cute little guys!

When the day was over, we got back on the ship and set sail for home... or Miami that is πŸ˜‰ haha

The next day was a sea day, sailing back to Miami. We again spent the day basking in the sun, playing mini golf, rock climbing, lots of eating, and going to shows! Oh and went back to the front of the ship!
Classic White Girl!
Every girl did it! 😜
The view mini golfing! 😍
πŸ’˜
My hair!!! And the humidity πŸ™… haha
When we got back into Miami we ubered to Miami Beach, dropped our stuff off at our hotel and hit the beach!

Our hotel was right on the beach but it was North Miami Beach and in all our "research" we found that South Beach was the hoppin' place! So we researched some more and found how to get down to Mid and South Beach and back and gave that a test run!

The next day we went back down to South Beach and hung out on the beach all day! And again the weather was perfect! Not to hot, not to cold-just perfect! And the perfect day with my babe!😘
Kam went snorkeling and saw a huge sting ray!
Downtown Miami South Beach
He didn't know I took a picture of his cute self 😜😍

So remember that awful flight back I mentioned in the beginning of this post?😬 That was me again!πŸ™‹πŸ™ˆ Our flight back to Salt Lake left Miami at 10pm, which actually ended up being an hour late,πŸ˜’ got into Denver at 1am, and then didn't leave Denver until 8am! I told Kam I was never booking the flights again! haha Most likely I was so twitterpated when we were booking (who am I kidding... I'm still twitterpated!!πŸ’—) that I didn't even realize the flights we were booking because I remember a couple days later I was like OMG! These flights are awful!😬 Anyways we didn't think it would too awful because we could go to the USO when we got to Denver and chill there in their nice chairs and couches and get some sleep waiting for our flight. BUT we didn't think to look to see if they were open 24 hours! I totally thought they would be! But.... they weren't. So for the first time ever, we slept on the airport floor!! 😬 Or at least I did haha Poor Kam, he didn't get any sleep on the airplane ride down, the airport floorπŸ˜‚, or the airplane ride back, and I did! haha I kinda actually got a lot of sleep!
Denver sunrise
Anyways, so the USO wasn't open until 5 or 6 so at that time we got up off the floor, I mean I got up off the floor πŸ˜… and went and hung out in the USO until our flight left... which again, was an hour late!πŸ˜’

The flight back to SLC was short and sweet, and since I had gotten quite a bit of sleep and Kameron had not, I drove us home! We were pretty sad though, to not be in the beautiful sun anymore but have to drive home in the grey gloom πŸ˜”πŸ˜ͺ

But our trip was AMAZING!!! I ate my weight in pineapple...
πŸ˜‹
And we loved every second of it!! And every second of being together!!
πŸ’—πŸ’—πŸ’—
